Monitoring & Evaluation

Monitoring

The Project Manager will be in charge of monitoring.

To that end, she will request regular reporting from the individuals responsible for the three joint working groups in order to:

  • verify correct timing of project activities, monitor delays and propose corrective actions;
  • validate outputs;
  • monitor expenditures and assure their consistency with the project activities and results.

Internal evaluation

Internal evaluation will be conducted by the Project Coordination Team throughout the project period.

The PCT will be supported on this task by academics from the two partner universities.

Each of the joint working groups, one for each working package, will be asked to identify evaluation criteria and indicators during the starting phase of their activities.

At the end of each work package, the results obtained by the working team will be evaluated in internal meetings to be held during the preparation phase of the corresponding International Workshop.

External evaluation

An external evaluation of the project team’s results will be held during the three International Workshops.

Six academics or experts from EU and EAC/SADC countries will be invited to participate in the workshops and to meet with the relevant joint working group. During the workshop, the joint working group will report on the achieved results and discuss the main lessons learned with the invited experts.

The external experts will be asked to produce an evaluation report by the end of the workshop.
